In conjunction with Greater Louisville Inc., the Metro Chamber of Commerce, a ribbon cutting ceremony to herald the opening of Habitation will be held at 12:00 noon this Thursday, December 4, at 4288 Summit Plaza Drive, The Summit Louisville.

More than 50,000 shoppers are expected to attend the 2008 Christmas Gift & Décor Show to browse more than 700 booths of Christmas crafts and gift items. Each day the first 500 children will receive free pictures with Santa.

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) wants to remind people that they do have an alternative that comes with plenty of fringe benefits: buying your holiday gifts from locally-owned, independent retailers.

The Frankfort Avenue FAT Friday Trolley Hop will be running all day on Black Friday, November 28th, in keeping with the day after Thanksgiving shopping tradition. Trolleys will run from 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Most stores will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
